OVERNIGHT LEAK LEAVES PUDDLES
A call came in first thing Thursday last week for a flooded restaurant supply company that rests in the suburbs of Dallas. On the outskirts of Rockwall, bumped up next to Fate and Royse City, an unassuming building called to report that nearly 4,000 square feet of office, showroom and warehouse space had flooded due to a small sink supply line that ruptured sometime after 5:30pm the night before.
SERVPRO of Rockwall/Rowlett dispatched a team immediately and arrived onsite within 1 hour. This team was fast acting. They immediately started pushing the water out of the warehouse and used an on-site shopvac to extract what water they could from the office area and continued to work until we arrived. The company was so relieved when we pulled into the parking lot so quickly.
Once our Crew Chiefs and technicians arrived, they promptly assessed the extent of damage and put together an action plan to begin the mitigation process. Due to some specialty treatments on the wall, the drying process took a few additional days. However, the walls are dry, the carpet was salvaged and business was not disrupted for more than a couple of hours on the first morning.
